Cody is having his right stifle injected on April 10th, 2012. I've taken the day off so I can drive him to the vet and home without having to stow him in Sarasota. He'll be seeing Sarasota Equine Associates.
He has had more good days than bad, but consistently he is off because of the stifle. And in the last month he's gone more trotty than pacey which is very much not like him.
We'll see how he is by June. Since we don't go off much riding in the summer, I'm going to focus on working his gait and if the stifle is good but the gait isn't by September, I'm going to send him to a trainer for a month -- or so. I just can't stand the thought of sending him off somewhere. So I hope it doesn't come to that. I'll be stuffing money aside though.
He's such a wonderful horse. I just want him to be healthy and sound. But I'd also like him to gait consistently. It's better for him in the long run. And better for me!
